Life Lesson (Psalm 40:1)

Scripture tells us we can be angry and not sin. Scripture also points out that being angry makes us more likely to sin. Remember being too HALT makes us more likely to stumble.

Life Lesson (Psalm 40:1)

Jesus tells us to tell and we are quiet.

Jesus tells us to be quiet and then we tell.

Jesus tells us to be still and we move.

Jesus tells us to move and then we are still.

When Jesus says to tell, we need to tell,

When Jesus says to be quiet, we should be quiet,

When Jesus says to be still, we should be still.

When Jesus says to move, then we need to move.

This is why it is so important to be filled with God’s Word, be led by God’s Holy Spirit, and be praying for God’s wisdom.

Life Lesson (Psalm 40:1)

On the Road to Recovery and Healing…

  • Seek the Healer and not the healing.

  • Thank God for all He has done for you.

  • Give God all He asks of you.

  • Petition God for victory and to do a complete work in you.

  • Give God the Glory for all He has done for you.

Life Lesson (Psalm 40:8)

Jesus dying and being resurrected was not just an accident, not just a tragedy, not just a political railroading; although it was those things and more. It was the plan of God for a lost and dying world to be able to receive forgiveness for their sins.

Ps 46:10 NKJV
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
Rom 12:4-7 KJV
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Rom 12:4-7 NKJV
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
Rom 12:4-7 NLT
4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.
Matt 28:18-20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Heb 10:4-10 NKJV
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
"Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come —
In the volume of the book it is written of Me —
To do Your will, O God.'"
8 Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them"(which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
The Bible has many great prayers in it.
  • Matthew 6:9-15 (The Lord’s Prayer)
  • John chapters 14-17(The Real Lord’s Prayer; Jesus praying for His own.)
  • John 17
Matt 6:8-15 NKJV
8 "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.  9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Deut 15:12-18 NKJV
12 "If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you. 13 And when you send him away free from you, you shall not let him go away empty-handed; 14 you shall supply him liberally from your flock, from your threshing floor, and from your winepress. From what the Lord has blessed you with, you shall give to him. 15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today. 16 And if it happens that he says to you, 'I will not go away from you,' because he loves you and your house, since he prospers with you, 17 then you shall take an awl and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Also to your female servant you shall do likewise. 18 It shall not seem hard to you when you send him away free from you; for he has been worth a double hired servant in serving you six years. Then the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do.
Matt 12:18-21 NKJV
18 "Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen,
My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased!
I will put My Spirit upon Him,
And He will declare justice to the Gentiles.
19 He will not quarrel nor cry out,
Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed He will not break,
And smoking flax He will not quench,
Till He sends forth justice to victory;
21 And in His name Gentiles will trust."
Isa 42:1-4 NKJV
1 "Behold! My Servant whom I uphold,
My Elect One in whom My soul delights!
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
2 He will not cry out, nor raise His voice,
Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed He will not break,
And smoking flax He will not quench;
He will bring forth justice for truth.
4 He will not fail nor be discouraged,
Till He has established justice in the earth;
And the coastlands shall wait for His law."
