God places spiritual leaders in our lives to follow.

We should desire more of the Lord and His spiritual gifts.

We will all have to make a journey after the end of this life.

We should listen to our spiritual leaders.

We should allow God to use us, the Word of God and the power of God to change the world.

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you;

not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us.

Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.

Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example.

Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.

Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

But he shall acknowledge the son of the unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?

1 Oh, foolish Galatians! What magician has cast an evil spell on you? For you used to see the meaning of Jesus Christ's death as clearly as though I had shown you a signboard with a picture of Christ dying on the cross. 2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law? Of course not, for the Holy Spirit came upon you only after you believed the message you heard about Christ. 3 Have you lost your senses? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?

having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

They will act as if they are religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. You must stay away from people like that.

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed --52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are a kingdom of priests, God's holy nation, his very own possession. This is so you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 10 "Once you were not a people; now you are the people of God. Once you received none of God's mercy; now you have received his mercy."

Then Joshua charged them at that time, saying,"Cursed be the man before the LORD who rises up and builds this city Jericho; he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates."

But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
