Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
All of our tongues have hurt people we love.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
Each of our tongues at times, have loved evil more than good, and each of us have loved lying, rather than speaking the truth in love.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
I trust in God, His Word, and in the mercy of God forever and ever.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
I will praise God, I should be more and more worshipful toward God.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
We live in a time where people are no longer thankful for those sacrificing for them. Be different, thank the people who love you, who care for you, and who serve you. Appreciate them, pray for them, love them, before they are gone.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
When it comes to following the Lord, each of us are in a spiritual war, caught between our flesh and our spirit. We need God’s help.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
We are our own worst enemy spiritually. Our spirit wants to follow the Lord, and our flesh which is emotionally and spiritually selfish, does not want to follow the Lord.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
The people who came and stayed at the church in the first two years, are very special people. We had nothing to offer but love, and the Word of God.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
People have a need or a pain in their life, when someone meets that need: Some say I have been blessed, I now want to meet the needs of others. Some say, I like getting my needs met, I must find more people to meet my needs. I don’t care about the pain of others, only my pain, as a matter of fact, I will inflict pain on others, so again, people will minister to me.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
Most people who have left this church have left over their own selfishness and sin, more than anything the church, or the pastors, or the staff or the volunteers, said or did.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
When some one leaves we should ask how you could have handled it differently, don’t just blame others.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
When we are corrected, our flesh wants to attack the one coming with the truth, whether it is Jesus, the Word, Moses, or a Pastor. Our spirit wants to listen, learn, and grow. We choose the Lord or we choose our flesh.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
We choose the Lord and fight the flesh. We choose the flesh and we fight the Lord.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
Most people when they say they want a “church that will minister to their needs” means a church that will focus on them, and their emotional needs and not focus on loving God and loving others, and not on telling the lost the Good News. Those things are challenges that make us ‘feel bad’ only if we do nothing about them, and we do not change.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
People listening to the Bible teaching assume they will all return to hear another teaching. The teacher speaking knows that not all will return to hear the next teaching.
Life Lesson (verse Psalm 52)
Each time a Bible teacher teaches today, he is saying ‘see you later’ to some believers, and ‘goodbye’ to some unbelievers. Which ones, he doesn’t know.
Psalms 53:1-3 NKJV
1 To the Chief Musician. Set to “Mahalath.” A Contemplation of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none who does good. 2 God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 NKJV
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
Rev 3:14-22 NKJV
14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ”
Psalms 5:9 NKJV
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; Their inward part is destruction; Their throat is an open tomb; They flatter with their tongue.
Jeremiah 9:5-6 NKJV
5 Everyone will deceive his neighbor, And will not speak the truth; They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves to commit iniquity. 6 Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me,” says the LORD.
Jeremiah 11:16 NKJV
The LORD called your name, Green Olive Tree, Lovely and of Good Fruit. With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire on it, And its branches are broken.
Romans 11:17 KJV
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Romans 11:24 KJV
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
Matthew 24:32 KJV
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
