Our lives should be filled with good works.

A serious follower of Jesus should be praying and giving.

We are to seek the Lord… His worship, His will, His ways in our lives.

Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds.

You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe -- and tremble!

13 And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, 'Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter,14 who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.'

Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us.

1 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury,2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two Mites.3 So He said, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all;4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had."

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

9 And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.

Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.
